Engineered Energy Equipment (EEE) is not only based in Central Florida, but all the members of the team have been born and raised in the Lakeland, Florida area where they are raising families and providing state of the art boiler equipment for Florida-based companies. Because of world-class theme parks like Disney, Central Florida is the #1 most visited destination in the United States. Recent statistics indicate that 72 million-plus annual visitors visit the Greater Orlando area every year. In 2019, the Orlando Business Journal wrote that Central Florida has 450 hotels with 125, 000-plus guest rooms.
In other words, the theme parks and hospitality industries in Central Florida are two of the primary engines that fuel tourism throughout the state of Florida, and EEE is poised to support Florida’s #1 industry by providing state of the art boilers, burners, and auxiliary equipment.
After many years of providing products and services to industries that support Florida tourism, agriculture, and healthcare, EEE joined the Central Florida Hotel & Lodging Association (CFHLA) in 2019.
“As a company, we decided that we wanted to consistently reach out to Central Florida’s hospitality industry, and what better organization for EEE to join than CHFLA: one of Central Florida’s largest and most influential trade groups?” said Kevin Warren, EEE Director of Sales. Representing hotel, motel, time share, and rentals companies in Orange, Seminole, and Osceola Counties, CHFLA gives the hospitality and tourism industries a voice in government and an outreach platform in the community.
EEE is proud to be networking with a business association that represents 80% of the more than 125,000 hotel rooms in Central Florida. As an allied member, EEE is among the nearly 500 “supplier” organizations in CHFLA.
It’s easy to understand why hotels ranging in size from Rosen Shingle Creek at 524,000 square feet to the Orlando World Center Marriott at 450,000 square feet to the Gaylord Palms Resort & Convention Center at 406,662 square feet need state of the art boilers and ongoing service.
No guest at a hotel or motel (regardless of size) wants a cold shower, so destination hotels need boilers to provide hot water to thousands of guest rooms, and that requires multiple boilers and readily accessible service in Central Florida.
Bill Michell, director of engineering for the Marriott Marquis New York, has to provide hot water to 1,996 rooms. In an article featured in USA Today, Michell said, “It’s just like a car…We’re constantly doing service on our car.” Michell added that he can provide hot showers to his 1,996 rooms, even if showers go on at the same time. He has three boilers the size of a tractor-trailer and about a dozen heat exchangers. They take in city water and push it through a system.
